Seattle, Here We Come...
We're headed up to Seattle after work this afternoon; provided we don't hit hours of traffic, we're scheduled to arrive around 9pm, when we're meeting up with a group of Kyle's friends for dinner at what looks like an amazing Italian restaurant called Tavolata. I love the look of their website, and, more importantly, their food!! (Note to self: don't write about good Italian restaurants right before lunch...it is painful).
Saturday morning we're accompanying Sam, Kyle's 15-year old brother, to his Boy Scout merit badge "fair," and then it's off to Husky Stadium to see U of W play Notre Dame! I'm really excited for this game. I like making lists (I made one yesterday, about why I decided to take a certain pledge!), so I'll make a list of reasons why I'm excited for the game:
1) Even though the Huskies aren't doing that well...sorry, it had to be said...going to a college football game on a beautiful fall day is one of the best things there is. Thankfully I'm not emotionally invested in the team the way certain other people I know are, so what might be an abysmal performance by the Huskies will most likely not affect my overall enjoyment of the experience.
2) I have a U of W purple sweatshirt that I love wearing, and I am going to wear it to the game tomorrow. Hooded sweatshirts make me happy, almost as much as making lists does.
3) Bud Light before sundown is tastier than Bud Light after sundown.
4) I'm getting to see Notre Dame, the team of my beloved Rudy, in person. The movie Rudy makes me happy. So happy, in fact, that I always cry tears of joy at the end. No matter how many times I see that movie, I always, always cry at the end. Ruuuuuudy. Ruuuuuuudy. Tear.

Lee...practice now. Not "U of W"..."U-dub."
Mag - you beat me too it.
...to it.
anything I can do to help, kyle.
Hope you guys had fun :)
The only thing that brought a tear to my eye was the Dawg's pitiful performance. Our only consolation was to spend most of the 2nd half in the parking lot drowning our sorrows...
Kyle, where are the pics from the game? I swear you were taking pictures. Either that or I was so freaking smashed due to the lack of Husky football actually happening to even notice whether you had a camera or not.
how was the food at TAVOLATA
the company
the Tawny wine?
