A Spring Bloom

Those little signs in the dead of winter that tell you spring DOES exist are so incredible. This is my Valentine's flower (thank you Kyle), which was completely closed yesterday. Today it's enjoying some warm (very rare) sunshine. I'm enjoying watching it bloom! I hope YOU enjoy this picture!

Wilbur fans, beware...

Kyle made a meatloaf tonight for dinner. You might say, one of those traditional, all-American dinners. Well, on this cold and rainy night in February, he took it to the next level and actually declared his meatloaf "illegal," while putting on the finishing touches. Judge for yourselves.

9 Days and Counting!

I am a bad blogger. Work has been craziness and I just haven't had the time or the energy. But something has me really, really excited...and that's that our lovies Alex and Oliver are getting married in 9 days! I can't wait to see these two tie the knot. I sent them this today....the countdown has officially begun!!

Pearls Pearls Pearls

My friend Caroline's adorable, fabulous wonderful pearl business is having a 10% discount sale that goes just until the end of July, so here I am, giving you ONE WEEK's WARNING! If you feel like buying some pearls, buy them from Caroline and buy them now! (Or at least in the next 7 days)

Here's the important part: to get the discount, type in discount code BACCAJULY when you checkout with "Google Checkout" and you will see your discount applied.

I have chosen my three favorite items from her website and posted pics here...the first 2 I happen to own myself, the third I sadly I do not, at least yet (Kyle, hint hint)

A Lab and Some Lakes

Kyle and I went on a great hike to Olallie Lake with Colin and Emily this past Sunday...as usual, I went WAY overboard in terms of taking pictures...but hey, maybe it was keeping my mind off the fact that I was out of breath about 5 minutes in. Their adorable black lab, Cooper, alternated between wanting to jump in to the various lakes we hit along the way to fetch sticks and standing timidly on the shoreline.

If you make it to the end of the slideshow, you'll see that we took a swim in the last lake we found before getting back to the car, and Cooper does NOT like being left on the shoreline when everyone else is swimming.

It was an absolutely gorgeous day, and our hike ended with an amazing view of a snowy Mount Hood on a warm summer day. Thankfully I think these pictures capture the colors quite nicely! Enjoy....
